Welcome to the 2018-2019 School year! I'm excited to get this year started. I plan on having lots of fun activities and labs to keep you interested and wanting to know more. I previously, as in years ago, taught 7th grade science, and have been brought back to it this year. I enjoy the 7th grade curriculum as well as the 8th grade so I'm looking forward having lots of fun.
Additional Information Regarding Grading
Class will consist of a variety of activities including direct instruction, guided practice, labs, small group work and stations. Homework will mainly be unfinished classwork and should not be more than a couple nights per week. I plan to have a test each week and a cumulative quarterly test. This combined with spuratic weekly grades will make up your quarterly grade. This will be something that you are probably not used too, but all activities in class will not result in a grade, but simplly serve as practice until mastery for the weekly test.
I plan to update this site weekly in order to have resources available for you to have if you are behind, forget, or simply are absent. Always check here for information for the week. Many times, I will try to post extra practice for those who just want a little more practice before the weekly test!
